Wheelchair Blues.

So what are things coming to? Yes an Electric mobility Scooter. A couple of months ago i had terrible breathing difficulties, a trip to the Doc's had me being sent to the Heart Lung dept for Electrocardiographs etc. They found i had part of my Heart not working properly and two leaky valves, now waiting to see specialist Cardiologist. Meanwhile my Hip (been playing up for a year) is really being a P I T A, of course no Surgeon will even look at operating until after my specialists visit. So when i was browsing the paper a couple of weeks ago i came across this quite reasonably priced mobility scooter (its 5 years old) i decided to buy it.At the price i paid i don't expect miracles but on the couple of short trips we've done so far its been OK. The problems will probably come when we try to go on long road trips. The model is a Ugo 8, from new its supposed to able to carry 23 stones for up to 18 miles at speeds of up to 8 MPH, it has indicators, lights and wing mirrors. i must admit i expect to have to replace the batteries quite soon (about £70)we will see.

Joke of the day.
Robot lie detector.

A bloke comes home from work with a robot, which can detect lies. When his 12 year old son comes home from school 2 hours late he calls him over. "Why are you so late?"The boy replies "I was in the library doing some homework." The robot rolled over and gave him a clip round the ear. "Ow" cried the lad. "What was that for?"The father said "It's my new lie-detecting robot. You'd better tell me the truth now.""OK Dad, I was at my mates house watching a DVD of Lee Evans." The robot gave him another clip round the ear."I said to tell me the truth", chimed the father. "Try again."
"OK, we were watching a porno film."
The father says "I can't believe it. You've shamed me. I would never have lied like that to my parents". The robot gave the father a clip round the ear.
The mother fell about laughing and said "Like father, like son" and the robot gave her a clip round the ear.
